Ease of Use:  

The Spanish Complete Edition is a little tricky to figure out when you first use the program because you are working with two different programs. However, once you figure out what program does what, it is quite simple to navigate. There could be a little more explanation on a few of the more complicated features such as grammar practice.

Transparent Language made adding accent marks over words much simpler in the Complete Edition. The easiest way we found is after you type in the letter you want the accent mark over you just push the up arrow and it scrolls through the different accents. There is also a link to the help menu that will take you through a forum on other ways to change them.

Teaching Tools:  

We were quite pleased with the variety of different tools that Spanish Complete Edition offered for teaching the basics of Spanish. It doesn’t matter if you are ten or sixty years old with features such as crossword puzzles, flash cards, Reading/Writing practice and a variety of others. Anyone can learn to speak Spanish and have fun doing so.

There are a few features that make understanding fluent Spanish speakers and speaking Spanish a reality. “Slow Sound” is one of these features; it allows you to slow each Spanish word down so you can hear how each syllable is pronounced in great detail. A feature that measures your pitch, tone, and vowels will help make sure you are saying the words the way a real native would say them.

Spanish reading and listening are both well covered in both programs and, if that is not enough, there is also a vast source of online reading and videos to help improve your comprehension.

Word Tools:  

There are plenty of word tools to keep you going for hours on end. A complete English to Spanish dictionary is provided, along with a glossary. When working in the reading or speaking sections you can highlight any word in the text to see a definition of the word. There are an endless number of flash cards provided and if by chance you run out simply jump online and download a few more from Transparent Language’s site.

Help/Support:  

Transparent language has plenty of help and support from tutorials, tech support, phone support and online help as well.

For those who want to learn basic Spanish in a fun and effective manner, this program will do the job. Spanish Complete Edition is a great vocabulary and grammar learning program with a lot of little extras to keep track of your progress.
